    Fabulous range of freshly prepared, home cooked food. Menus veer towards the healthy but there is something for absolutely everyone, including the adventurous - beetroot sponge cake anyone?Superb setting, simply decorated (spectacularly simply at Christmas time actually), disabled and child-friendly. Although a full meal is by no means cheap, the quality is superb and provides excellent value for money.

  • 4 Sweet caff in the forest!

    Take a break from fell walking in the Winnlater Forest and pop into the Siskins cafe! Charming caff with excellent coffee, cakes, lunch and snacks on offer. You can sit outside on the balcony and birdwatch, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery all around. The visitor centre also houses live feeds from various nests in the area, and a decent book/gift shop. Gets busy but worth the effort.
