we are proud to be a family-owned and run business with friendly attentive staff that will ensure your stay is pleasant and enjoyable. Children are welcome from any age. We have 53 ensuite rooms, restaurant, bar and free parking. Our on site gym will be in operation shortly. The hotel is a series of old Victorian style terraces with a section of the outer wall of the Roman Fort Petriana in the car park. The north wall of the largest Roman Fort known as Hadrian’s Wall. The fort housed a 1000 strong cavalry unit known as the Ala Petriana. Excavated by Carlisle Archeological Unit June 1984
